About the Artist
A.P.'s artistic journey began at the tender age of five when her older brother introduced her to the whimsical world of caricature drawing. Over the next decade, she honed her skills in cartooning and illustration, fueled by a childhood dream of becoming a children's book illustrator.
Fast forward to her freshman year at Munich International School, where her art teacher opened her eyes to the enchanting realm of realism. Delving into human anatomy, A.P. embarked on a journey of self-discovery, mastering the art of graphite realism. Her fascination with the human form and love for high contrast compositions became the cornerstone of her evolving artistic style.
Following her high school days, A.P. veered away from art, pursuing Economics at the University of Michigan, not far from where she grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. Graduating, she found herself amidst the bustling streets of New York, delving into the legal profession. Later, she made the leap to Los Angeles, immersing herself in the vibrant world of entertainment law. Yet, after eight years navigating the legal landscape, the call of art beckoned once more.
While she dabbled in commission work over the years, it wasn't until 2024 that A.P. committed herself fully to her craft. Her signature style? Fantasy realism in the graphite realm, where high contrast compositions serve as her canvas for addressing pressing political and social issues.
